 Miley Ray Cyrus born Destiny Hope Cyrus, November 23, 1992 is an American musician, singer, and actress. Her distinctive , raspy voice is a hallmark of her music that incorporates elements from various styles and genres , including country pop, rock experimental, pop, and rock. With a total of thirteen songs, Cyrus is the female artist with the highest number of US Billboard 200 Top-five Albums in the 21st Century. Cyrus's life in the public eye, her images and performances have often sparked controversy, and have garnered a lot of media attention. Cyrus, the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus country music performer, made her a star in her teens, when she was the lead character on the Disney Channel's Hannah Montana (2006-2011). In her role as Hannah Montana, she attained three top five and two number-one soundtracks on the US Billboard 200, including the US Billboard Hot 100 top-ten single "He Could Be the One". Cyrus's discography also includes the US number one albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008), and Bangerz (2013) as well as the top five releases are Can't be Tamed (2010) and Younger Now (2017), Plastic Hearts (2020) and the free album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz (2015). The EPs The Time of Our Lives (2009) and She is Coming (2019) are also made it into the top five. Plastic Hearts, Cyrus' most popular album, premiered at top of the Billboard Rock Charts. It included the lead single "Midnight Sky". Other singles she's released include "See You Again", the US number-one "7 Things", and "Party in America." "Party in America" is her other top ten charting single. "Party in America" also features "Can't Be Taught", We Can't Stop", Malibu, and "Without You". The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has certified "Party in America" as a Diamond. Cyrus's career achievements include entry on the Time 100 list in 2008 and 2014, the MTV Best Artist of 2013 Award as well as a spot on the Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists Chart in 2019. She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus as an actress has been featured in Bolt (2008) as along with the feature films Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009 and 2010). On TV, Cyrus served as a coach on the singing competition show The Voice across two seasons, and also appeared in the season finale "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too" of the Netflix series Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a fervent advocate for animal rights. She began a vegan lifestyle in 2014. In 2014, she founded the Happy Hippie Foundation which focuses on youth homeless and the LGBT community.
