Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey is an African American author. She is well-known as the ex-wife of the comedian Steve Harvey. Deciding largely to stay away from the gaze of the media, she leads an extremely private lifestyle. While Steve did not have anywhere in the same level of success he enjoys now the couple was married for fourteen years. Rumours have circulated in Hollywood about the reasons for their split. Some accuse Steve Harvey of cheating, and others accuse him of choosing the field of comedy for his work. She began her career working at Saks Fifth Avenue, a department store. Steve met her at a friends' wedding reception. They became a couple and were married in the year 1980. Steve was employed as an insurance salesman at the time and the couple were blessed with twin girls in 1982. Steve began to feel disillusioned at work and decided to pursue a career in the field of entertainment. He wanted to be an actor.
