Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion of sprinting while at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her first tryout she came 2nd in the 200-meter race during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she attended the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. The youngest to win the 200 meter during the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She won her medal time and time again in 2007 by beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo regularly placing in the top three in all her events.
