Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial trial she took the sport, she finished 2nd in the 200m race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix graduated from high school having signed a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record running 200m in 22.18 secs. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world in running 200m. She won the title in 2007. was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
